Mrs Kuyum
To my mother — my first biology teacher
Dear Mama,
Before I was a teacher, I was your student. You taught biology, and through you I first saw that the living world is a wonder — something to understand, to respect, and to protect. Every lesson I have given since, in classrooms and in books, and now in this Academy, began at your table.
Thank you for the seed you planted in me. It is still growing — in every student I teach.
Your daughter,
Mariam
To my biology teacher friends
Dear friends, dear colleagues,
We have carried the same torch: to open the living world to young minds, lesson by lesson, year by year. Thank you for the ideas we exchanged, for the standards we kept high together, and for your friendship through all the teaching years.
This classroom stands partly on your shoulders. Every student who learns here learns also from you.
With gratitude,
Dr. Mariam Ohanyan
To Mr Ashot Alikhanyan, creator of the Shirakatsy Lyceum
Dear Mr Alikhanyan,
You built more than a school. When you created the Shirakatsy Lyceum, you built a home where gifted children and devoted teachers could grow side by side. I was one of the teachers your vision sheltered, and the way I teach today still carries its mark.
Thank you — from my classroom to yours, with respect and gratitude.
Dr. Mariam Ohanyan
